The U.19 team of Red bull Soccer Academy on Saturday held former premier league campaigners Power FC to a pulsating 0-0 in friendly match played in Sogakope.

Dressed in a resplendent white and red jersey, THE BULLS were the first to take the kick off after the knight of the whistle Maladza Lawrence had signaled the two teams to begin hostilities. They pressurized the visitors by firing from all angles to get the opener. Power FC who by the 10th minute had not discovered their game pattern announced their intentions to win the day when in the 12th minute , a 40 meter thunderbolt from the boot of Edmund Quaye was saved by goalkeeper Sulemana Rashid

In the 15th minute, Red Bull Academy came very close to scoring when the speed star Zuberu Sulemana shrugged off a tackle just outside the vital area of Power FC,whisked past a forest of legs with ease and laid a beautiful pass onto the path of Amoako Amos to connect but messed up the glorious opportunity. In the 20th minute, Jittery looking Francis Arthur in post of Power FC nearly gave Red Bull a goal when he spilt a loose ball in his goal area but Sevan De Souza who had the yawning net in front of him unpardonably blew the chance away.

Back from recess, Red Bull Academy appeared a rejuvenated side , hungrier than the first half of the match and kept surging forward for the opener. They played so well and endeared themselves to the teeming crowd. Power FC survived the onslaught and turned the heat on their host but wasted couple of chances. In the 63rd minute, Yao Sekele who came on for Sevan De Souza but was a bunch of nerves was replaced by Abdul Malik..In the 86th minute George Appiah had the better side of referee Lawrence Moladza when he was given yellow card for callously punching the abdomen of Amos Amoako of Red Bull.
