Primeval Consult to organize Black Stars Farewell

Leading sports events organisers, Primeval Consult will on May 23, 2014 organise a Farewell Exhibition Match for football fans to wish tha Black Stars well before they enplane to Holland for their final phase preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

At the media launch held on Thursday, Jeff Asare, Communications and Public Relations Director of Primeval Consult said the programme is a novelty whereby football fans will be given the opportunity to select their favourite players from the Premier, Division One and Two to play against the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He noted that it the day of fan, sports and entertainment will see top musicians like Okyeame Kwame, Shatta Wale, Vera and Kweku Gyasi, Castro and Asamoah Gyan performing.

According to Asare, all that football fans have to do to be part of the show is to text the name of their favourite local star via 1413 to all networks and they stand the chance of watching the game from the VIP stand or win attractive prizes like plasma televisions, tablets, mobile phones and others.

Chief Larry Opare Otoo, CEO of Primeval Consult indicated that the local players and coaches selected for the match will be rewarded financially and entreated fans to text names of their best local players to form the Dream Team.

He gave the deadline for submission of text polls as May 19, 2014.

Ibrahim Sannie Darra, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association hinted that FIFA had required all Football Associations to organize one open training session for their teams and this Exhibition Game falls in line, so they will organize the 23 May game before hosting another one in Maciao in Brazil.

He noted that Game will relieve the players from stress, offer a platform for Ghanaian fans to show their love and support for the Black Stars as they go out to Brazil to seek for the World Cup.

He added that is will be an opportunity for local players to rob shoulders with the likes of Essien, Kevin Prince Boateng, Dede Ayew, Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu, Majeed Warris and other popular professional stars who will feature for Ghana at the World Cup.

Okyeame Kwame, one of the event coordinators for the entertainment package urged Ghanaians to unite and rally behind the Black Stars. He revealed that a special choreography will be performed before the match and the afterparty will be superb as fans and media men will get the chance to interview the Stars before they move to Brazil.

“This is the first time such an entertainment programme for the Black Stars and top musicians is being put up and we want all Ghanaians to be involved. If you love the Black Stars never miss the show” he told yours truly.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, a special aide to the Minister of Youth & Sports who is also a member of the World Cup Brazil 2014 Committee adviced Ghanaians to stop the negativity on the team’s preparations and unite behind the team to win the World Cup for the first time at the third appearance.
