Ghana coach Avram Grant believes his side did enough to beat Mozambique on Sunday but ended up drawing 0-0 in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Black Stars failed to convert scoring opportunities in their reverse Group H after winning the corresponding fixture 3-1 in Accra last Thursday.

Ghana were without key performers captain Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew and Frank Acheampong due to injuries.

But the fringe players preserved their unbeaten run in the qualifiers despite dropping points for the first time in four matches.

Grant was satisfied with the performance of his beat-up squad in Maputo.

"We [Black Stars] created enough chances to win the game but didn't score. At the end we took one point and we have 10 points now so it depends on us to qualify. Qualification is what we want," Grant said in a post-match interview.

"Black Stars played to win and we could have won. The team played like almost in the first game but had to do few changes in the tactics because key players were injured.

“I think the players who played instead of the injured did everything possible. You could see there was a lot of running and fighting."

Ghana still top Group H with ten points; four more than Mauritius who play Rwanda in Kigali on Tuesday.
