Accra, July 8, GNA - Black Queens coach, John Eshun is pregnant with optimism about the chances of the team ahead of their African Women Championship qualifying match against Guinea in Conakry on Sunday. Coach Eshun will be tackling his first major assignment since his appointment a few weeks ago, but he has remained optimistic that the Queens have what it takes to tilt the clock in their favour even away from home.

"We have prepared well and I am convinced that we will beat them in their own backyard to render the second leg a mere formality".

Asked whether he was not been complacent, the coach answered in the negative saying "the entire team knows the stakes involved and once they are ready to die for a ticket to the competition, I see nothing that will stand between us and victory" he told the GNA Sports.

The Queens are expected to engage their opponents in a straight fight game to book a place to the next AWC tournament billed to take place in South Africa in November.

The Guineans will honour the return leg in two weeks time in Accra.

The team is expected to leave for Conakery, Guinea on Friday morning with a chartered flight, according to information gathered by the GNA Sports. 08 July 04
