... with Greuther Furth

Ghana youth international defender Baba Abdul Rahman is on the brink of securing Bundesliga promotion with Greuther Furth for next season.

The 19-year-old former Asante Kotoko full-back will head into Sunday’s final-leg Play-off at the Trolli ARENA against former European champions Hamburg SV with high hopes after holding them to a draw in the first-leg tie on Thursday.

Furth are seeking a return to the German top-flight at the expense of the giants who have enjoyed a torrid season in the Bundesliga, finishing a lowly 16th place after the end of the regular season.

Baba Rahman and his Furth side finished third to FC Koln and Paderborn to secure a play-off date with Hamburg.

In the first-leg at the Imtech Arena attended by over 56,000 fans, the 2013 Ghana U20 FIFA World Cup defender played the entire regulation minutes for Furth in the stalemate and is likely to maintain his starting place on Sunday and forge on for triumph with his side.

The Ghanaian has enjoyed a fine season in the Bundesliga II as he has made a total of 22 league appearances for them this term.
