Milovan Rajevac will check on Kevin-Prince Boateng in person as soon as he can as the Ghana coach looks to clinch the Portsmouth midfielder’s availability for the Black Stars.
Boateng has impressed for Pompey this season and indicated to Ghana that he wants to represent them after playing for Germany at youth level.
Officials of the Ghana Football Association say they are very close to getting the all clear from FIFA for the switch of allegiance and Rajevac is more than keen to have him on board.
“We are in contact with him and monitoring him on TV but my intension is to go to England on my first free time and watch him in person. I like what I have seen so far. He is an excellent player,” Rajevac revealed to KickOffGhana.com.
Boateng, born to a Ghanaian father and a Germany mother in Berlin has represented the European giants at youth level but after failing to break into the senior side says he now wants to play for Ghana.
He has done his chances a world of good too with a series of eye catching displays for a struggling Portsmouth side in a league widely followed in Ghana.
