Rampage In Sunyani: Investor petitions Prez. Kufuor

Mr. Frank Hall Osei Bonsu, a Ghanaian businessman resident in the United Kingdom has appealed to President Kuffour, to as a matter of urgency, intervene to allow the rule of law take it’s rightful place in a case in which former footballer, George Arthur led a group of people to vandalize, Sweet Touch Restaurant, as well as yet to be launched Radio Station, SPACE 87.7 FM, all in Sunyani on Friday.

According to Mr. Hall, who is majority shareholder of Global Media Partners, owners of SPACE FM, CEO of Hotels and Conferences UK, and also proprietor of Sweet Touch Restaurant, in a strongly worded petition to the President, drew the latter’s attention to the numerous calls on Ghanaians living abroad to invest in their motherland, and argued that, if this is what is in store for investors, then there’s no hope for this country called Ghana, he said.

He also stated that he thrusts in the ability of the President to impress upon the law enforcement agencies not to be influenced in this matter .On the otherhand, should there be an indication that somebody is above the law in Ghana, then the country would stand to lose massively, as it would have sent negative signals to prospective native investors. In his own words, he said, I feel appalled by alleged statements from George Arthur to the effect that the President is his personal friend and as such, the issue would not go anywhere’. According to him, people like George Arthur are creating a bad image for Ghana and therefore need to be checked.

Mr.Hall, also an IT expert, who happens to be the junior brother of Mr. Kingsley Osei Bonsu (aka Zico) also, blamed the leadership of the FA for their inability to speak the truth, where it mattered most and prayed that for Ghana Soccer to move forward, there’s the need for our Officials to speak the truth. This, he believes, would attract the needed investment lacking in football.
