Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila’s side Al Qadsia recorded a heavy win in the Kuwaiti Pro League as it finally kicked off on Sunday.
The Kuwaiti giants won 5-2 away at A Sahel FC in their opening league fixture as Rashid Sumaila lasted the entire 90 minutes.
Rashid, 22, demonstrated great defensive abilities to guide the Al Qadsia o the massive win as they set their sight on the title once again.
The Black Stars defender has hit the ground running since his arrival in Kuwait helping Al Qadsia to an impressive 3rd place finish last season and reaching the last four of the Asian Federation cup.
Al Qadsia are the only Kuwaiti side in the Asian Champions league after recording a massive 3-1 victory over Johor Darul Tazim in the first leg.
The former Asante Kotoko defender has been linked with a move back to South Africa where he won the league with Mamelodi Sundowns a few years back.
