Razak Brimah’s Cordoba miss out on La Liga promotion

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah suffered a huge heartbreak when his side Cordoba got eliminated from promotion.

Cordoba, who beat Girona 2-1 in the first leg, were beaten lost 3-1 after extra-time and got knocked out 4-3 on aggregate.

This a huge blow for the Black Stars number one goalkeeper who was seeking to qualify to the La Liga next season.

Xisco Jiménez gave Cordoba the lead on 56 minutes but Borja García and Aday scored to send the match into extra time.

Cordoba were reduced to ten men after Marius Stankevicius got sent off after picking up a second yellow card.

Girona snatched the winner through Cristian Herrera in the 117th minute.
