Accra, Feb. 28, GNA - The Red Bull international 'Street-Style' football contest is hitting Ghana as the global energy drink producers seek to gift players an opportunity to horn their talents.
The competition, which begins next month with qualifying series in Accra, is to unearth talents and help players appreciate the game especiall= y with the international platform associated to the Red Bull 91Street-Style= '. The Accra series billed for the Bukom Square and Accra Polytechnic on March 4 and 5 marks the first stop of the maiden edition in Ghana. The series that will later move to Kumasi, Cape Coast and Takoradi is expected to select 16 players for the national finals in Accra on March 26. Free-style football is a growing scene among the youth who take advantage of various social gatherings to display their individual talents and prowess.
The event was on display at the 2010 FIFA World Cup when Red Bull assembled 32 of the world's best freestyle soccer talents at Cape Town, South Africa which was won by Sean Garnier from France.
