Ghana’s referee Joseph O. Lamptey is among the list of referees selected by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) to handle the remaining matches of the Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) ongoing in Rwanda.

Information gathered indicates that referee Lamptey will be the fourth referee when host nation Rwanda takes on DR Congo in the first match of the quarter-final stage on Saturday, January 30, in Kigali.

Referee Daniel Frazer BENNETT of South Africa will, however, be the middleman with Mothibidi Stevens KHUMALO – South Africa and Ahmed Taha Hossam from Egypt as the assistant referees.

According to CAF, Aminu Mohammed Maigari of Nigeria will be the Match Commissioner with Marcel Njipendi Kuotu of Cameroon as the Referee Assessor, whilst Paul Ekong Bassey of Nigeria takes up the role of General Coordinator.

Referee Lamptey has been Ghana’s leading referee for the past three to four years and looks good to make progress into the next stage.
