Cape Coast Jan.30, GNA - Mr Joseph Dawson - Ahmoah, Chairman of the Cape Coast Municipal Referees Association on Thursday called on referees to report team officials who attempt to bribe or influence them to officiate football matches in their favour.

Mr Dawson-Ahmoah, who made the call at the association's end of year party held at Cape Coast, said the association would not spare any member found guilty of such acts and urged them to always be fair in their decisions of the matches they handle and ensure that they officiate according to the laid down rules.

He appealed to club officials to educate their supporters on the rules of soccer to avoid rowdyism during football matches.

The chairman announced that the association has started the construction of a 50 million cedis office block and appealed to other stakeholders, Non Governmental Organisations and individuals to donate either in kind or cash to ensure the early completion of the project. The project, which started early this year, is expected to be completed in July this year.
