Accra, June 13, GNA - The ongoing feud between Mr Moses Foh-Amoaning, chairman of the Ghana Boxing Association (GBA) and sections of the boxing fraternity seems to be far from over after the recent calm.

Mr Foh-Amoaning, who recently engaged in a media war with sections of the fraternity, has once again come under siege from the United Boxing Coaches Association of Ghana (UBCAG).

The Association has called for the immediate resignation of Mr Moses Foh-Amoaning, chairman of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) citing the running of a one man administration as their major reason. In a resolution signed by Godwin Dzane Kotey President of the (UBCAG) addressed to the National Sports Council, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and the GBA, the Association said it was not attacking the personality of the GBA chairman but rather, it was opposed to his policies, which had rendered professional boxing "unproductive and retrogressive."

The resolution made available to the GNA Sports said "his style of leadership and general characteristics has bred factionalism and separatism in the boxing circles hence retarding the promotion and development of the sport in Ghana."

It added that Mr Foh-Amoaning and his men have overstayed in office and have also not rendered any account since their appointment by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports.

"Mr Foh-Amoaning has openly shown gross disrespect to the boxing fraternity and unilaterally taken decisions, without approval and consent of other GBA board members.

"We are therefore asking Foh-Amoaning and his Board to step aside without further delay and hand over all properties belonging to the GBA."

In the absence of the board, the Association has appealed to the ministry to set up an interim body to supervise and coordinate the affairs of the GBA.
