Arsenal have joined the race to sign Augsburg defender Abdul Rahman Baba, who is also being closely monitored by Roma.
The Giallorossi are on the lookout for a new defender having already sold Jose Holebas to Watford earlier in the transfer window. Meanwhile, the Gunners seek to further strengthen their defence following goalkeeper Petr Cech’s acquisition.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Roma are looking to seal a deal for the Ghanaian, who made appearances last season, in the coming week, though Arsenal are also readying an offer.
The North London club are not the only Premier League club interested in the 21-year-old with Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly also showing interest in the player.
Baba moved to Augsburg from Bundesliga 2 side Greuther Furth last summer, helping the Fuggerstadter reach a very impressive fifth position in the Bundesliga.
