Cape Coast, April 7, GNA - Cape Coast Ahli Rovers continued their winning spree when they pipped Oguaa United 1-0 in their Second Division league match played at the Cape Coast Robert Mensah sports stadium on Sunday.
Rovers who are on top of the Zone One league table with eight points started strongly but had to wait until the 25th minute when midfielder, Mania Mohammed, scored the match winner with a pile driver. They hanged on the lead until the end of the first half. On resumption of the second half, Oguaa United took absolute command of the game and made frantic efforts to equalize but the able defence of Rovers kept them in check.
In another encounter, Nyanyano Proud United, First Division campaigners, played a spectacular game to hold Cape Coast Venomous Vipers to goalless draw in a friendly match played on Saturday.
