Ghanaian attacker Samuel Afum has been ruled out of the rest of the season by injury, GHANAsoccernet.com has confirmed.
The 25-year-old has suffered a muscle problem and Xamax doctors have advised the former Ghana U23 attacker to remain in the treatment room until the end of the season.
Afum, a former player of Hearts of Oak, was limited to just five appearances for Xamax in the Swiss Challenge League where he was billed to end his spell with Young Boys Bern as a loanee.
But the latest injury means he cannot play any further part of their campaign.
"I've had the muscle problem and I had a scan during the course of the week. I'm likely to miss the rest of the season as I want to fully recover from it," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
A number of European clubs have expressed interest in the former FC Smouha player whose contract at Young Boys runs out at the end of the current season.
