Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asamoah was forced off the pitch early in the first-half while in action for OH Leuven on Saturday evening the Belgian Pro League.
The 21-year-old limped off the pitch in the 35th minute, forcing Leuven manager to make a hasty substitution. Leuven succumbed to a 3-1 home loss against Genk who did not have injury returnee Bernard Kumordzi in their squad.
Leuven medical team will perform scan on the diminutive midfielder to gauge the extent of damage suffered.
Asamoah joined Leuven before the start of the season from Belgian second-tier side AS Eupen and has featured in 10 games for them.
