Santos 3 (Solomons 36, Sokhela 50, Ithier 86)
Kotoko 3 (Osei 57, 88, Duah 17)
Santos were held to a 3-3 draw by Ghanaian team Asante Kotoko, held in their African Cup Winners Cup second round, first leg match at Greenpoint Stadium on Saturday night. The score was 1-1 at interval.
Santos' defence which is usually sound let them down badly as they conceded a goal within the first 17 minutes of the match.
Once Asante weathered the storm they were dangerous and in the 12th minute Michael Osei, who had an excellent game, moved smartly down the left-flank, cut in and his parting shot went across the goal-line.

In the 14th minute Vincent Sokhela's shot from the edge of the box was well saved by Asante goalkeeper Boateng Osei.

The visitors were quick in moving upfield and in the 17th minute Osei crossed the ball and Duah Nana easily scored as he was left unmarked.

Sokhela, who had a good game centred in the 27th minute and Jean Marc Ithier's header went pass the upright.

Three minutes later Allasan Shilla's 15-meter powerful shot was well held by Andre Arendse.

In the 33rd minute Acquah Daniel brought Ithier down just outside the box and Jonathan Solomons powerful free kick was blocked by goalkeeper Osei.

Santos levelled matters in the 36th minute when Owusa Isaacs fouled Thokozani Xaba and referee Christopher Ramosary awarded 'the people's team' another free kick.

This time Solomons made no mistake as his shot hit the far upright and went in.

The home side were ahead in the 49th minute when Teboho Tsiu put over a long ball to Sokhela whose 30-meter drive flew into the top of the goals.

Asante were back on level terms in the 56th minute when Michael Osei challenged John Mbidzo who slipped before running through to score.

Santos were back on the lead in the 85th minute when Ithier headed in Sokhela's corner kick.

Two minutes later Osei netted his second goal of the match to grab an away draw for the Ghanaians.
