Sarfo Gyamfi named player of the month at Kotoko

Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has been elected as the most outstanding player in the month of July for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The winger was recognized for his tremendous contribution for the club in the month as they hold on to their target of winning the league.

The 23-year-old received his award and GHC1000 cash prize after the team’s 0-0 stalemate with Aduana Stars at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

The award, which is an initiative of the fans and management of the club fans has been won by after Ahmed Adams, captain Amos Frimpong, Dauda Mohammed, Obed Owusu and Eric Donkor in previous months.

Kotoko in the month of July were not impressive as they lost a couple of matches in their attempt to reclaim the title.

They lost 4-1 to Dwarfs at Cape Coast, drew with Hearts in Kumasi and lost to New Edubiase in Bekwai.

However, Sarfo Gyamfi’s performance in all these matches was impressive.
