Black Satellites and Wa All Stars winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi is set to undergo medicals with South Africa Pemier Soccer League side, Maritzburg United this week after a deal was struck by both clubs two weeks ago.
Current Maritzburg and former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach Ernst Middendorp who is a key admirer of the player is believed to have engineered the deal.
While with Golden Arrows last season, Sarfo had trials with the club under Middendorp but the deal failed to materialize as the winger was then below 18 years. A year on, the German coach has re-joined his former club Maritzburg United and is set to sign his long term target.
Footy-Ghana.com sources can confirm the President of Wa All Stars, Kwasi Nyantakyi met with his counterpart from Maritzburg United, Farook Kadodia in the company of Coach Ernst Middendorp where a deal over Sarfo Gyamfi was struck while the Black Stars were camping in Johannesburg ahead of the World Cup Qualifier against Zambia two weeks ago.
The winger has been linked with a move to Ghana League Champions Asante Kotoko and several clubs in Greece but a move to the PSL is now on the cards for the Wa All Stars player.
