Accra, Sept. 15, GNA - The national Under 21 team, the Black Satellites on Wednesday defeated their counterparts from Benin 2-0 in an international friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium. The defeat makes it 3-0 aggregate over the Beninoise after the first leg ended 1-0 in favour of the Satellitesin their match played in Benin last Sunday.
The Ghanaians scored a goal in each half to end the match, which was partly played under floodlights due to the late arrival of the Beninoise team. Prince Tagoe opened the scores in the 10th minute when he connected home a well-laid pass from Prince Antwi. Substitute Yekini Iddi completed the day for the Satellites by tapping in a neat pass from another substitute, Gado Mohammed in the 69th minute.
The Satellites could have buried their opponents with at least five goals but the strikers made up of Tagoe, Felix Baffoe, Mohammed and Iddi squandered many of begging chances that came their way in the second half.
