Ghana national u-20 teams had rejected an artificial training field to prepare for the upcoming 2017 Africa Youth Championship qualifier in Addis Ababa.
According to Masa-ud Didi Dramani, is purely footballing reasons.
“The match will be played on a natural grass but they offered us an artificial ground (to train). I told them astro is not what the official game will be played on and that we want to have a feel of a natural one.
“We will start training – reawakening session which will be some walking and series of movement just to aid blood circulation.
“In the afternoon, we will train at the match time and tomorrow (Saturday) also we will continue at the match venue at 4pm local time..”
Coach Dramani praised the reception from the host.
“We arrived safely and we were met on arrival by our hosts and officials of the Ghanaian embassy. We had a smooth reception unlike when I came with the Black Princesses…
“The protocol officer here is someone I worked with during the club licensing. They quickly moved us to the hotel we had arranged.
“We are very prepared for the and we are hoping for a good results. The two friendly games we played against Cameroon and China helped us to rectify our mistakes. We want to have marginal errors and we are very positive we will return home with good results.”
