Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is close to joining Vitesse Arnhem after Schalke 04 confirmed they have agreed a fee for his move.
But the 24-year-old is yet to agree personal terms with the Dutch Eredivisie side for a season-long loan deal.
He initially rejected a move away from the club he joined in January this year from Norwegian side Rosenborg.
“It’s now the decision of the player whether he wants to go or not,” Schalke 04 General Manager Horst Heldt said.
Annan has been told he is surplus to requirements at the club and must look for a club before the summer transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
