Serritslev in contention for Black Stars top job

Flemming Serritslev, a Denish, has being shortlisted with Serbian duo Milovan Rajevac, and Radmilo Ivancevic, by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), to contest for the job of a new Technical Advisor for the Black Stars.

Also in contention, was German Antoine Hey and the GFA is expected to select one for the role of a technical advisor, upon recommendations of head coach James Kwesi Appiah.


The GFA, last week set up a three member committee to employ a technical advisor for the Black Stars and Serritslev, a former Denmark top player, who captained Vejle Boldklub to win two championships and three Cup finals is among the key contenders.


The coach, who became the assistant manager of the Danish National team and manager of the Danish National U-19 team and won the 1995 Confederations Cup in Ryadh after beating Argentina 2-0.


He was the manager of the Danish U-21 and head of talent development in 2006 and was awarded the coach of the year for all sports in Denmark.

He later became the Technical Director of Nasarawa United of Nigeria Premier League and Head coach of Armenia U-21 National team.


Serritstlev holds Union of European Football Association (UEFA) PRO- license and held coaching appointments in Armenia and the Reviewer of all Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) coaching programmes on behalf of UEFA IN 2013.


He was a member of the UEFA Panel of Technical Instructors since 2000 and head of the Integrated Talent Development for players between 16 and 21, where he was responsible for both civil and football education of the players.
