Seven countries, including Ghana the hosts, have so far qualified for the 16-team African Nationc Cup from 20 January to 10 February next year.

Angola, Cameroon, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan and Tunisia were all confirmed for the finals after the weekend's penultimate round of qualifiers.

Sudan qualify as one of the top runners-up, even if they lose their last qualifying match against Group Four leaders Tunisia.

Ghana are automatic qualifiers as hosts, leaving another 9 places up for grabs when the final round of qualifiers are played during September for all but the four Group 2 countries. The 16 teams will be drawn into four groups of four for the first round of the finals.

The groups will be seeded but this will only be finalised after the completion of the qualifiers.
