England international and ex-Arsenal centre back, Sol Campbell, has tipped his former club to win the English Premier League (EPL) this season, having waited for 12 years since the club lifted the trophy in 2004.

Arsenal is currently joint league leaders with Leicester City, on 44 points, with only a goal difference of 3 separating the two.

“This year, I think it is a really good opportunity to see if Arsenal could win the premiership. It is important that they go all the way and I think this year will define what he [Arsene Wenger] does,” he disclosed in an interview on Starr FM Jan 19, 2016.

The former Tottenham star is currently in Ghana headlining the 2016 Peace Cup campaign, together with former Juventus midfielder and ex-Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, ahead of the general election in the country on November 7, 2016.

Ghanaian-born former Middlesbrough captain and Holland international, George Boateng, is also in the country under the patronage of Primeval Media, organisers of the peace friendly match.

Other football icons who are expected to participate include Edgar Davids, Emile Heskey, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Steve Mcmanaman, and Patrick Kluivert.
