Ghana winger Solomon Asante believes he is ready to meet the heightened expectations having excelled in Ghana’s 3-2 victory over Congo.
The 24-year-old wing wizard did not disappoint after being handed a starting spot in Ghana’s 3-2 victory over Congo in Brazzaville.
Asante capped off an excellent display with a dazzling run that forced Sagesse Babele to put the ball into his own net on the 14th minute of the game.
The TP Mazembe inform winger is now aware he has made a bold statement in the team and more will be expected of him going forward.
“For me it’s always about the collective effort because unlike other sports, football is a team effort,” Asante said after the game.
“I have learnt down the years that the strength of every team is in its depth and we proved that today.”
“I have always proved my worth whenever I have been called on and I am ready to do it going forward.”
Asante has been linked with a move away from Congo this season but has insisted his aim is to help the Ravens win this year’s CAF Champions League.
