Solomon Asante to play in China

Ghana winger Solomon Asante is on the verge of sealing a big-money move to Chinese side Beijing Guoan, widespread reports claimed on Monday.

The 25-year-old has refused to sign a contract extension at African champions TP Mazembe as he pushes for a move away from the club.

Top officials have confirmed the Ghana international will leave at the end of the year.

Widespread media reports in Ghana have claimed the hugely talented winger is on the radar of ambitious Chinese side Beijing Guoan.

The Ghanaian is keen to enjoy the weighty packet of the Chinese side who are ready to splash $2 million for his signature.

The former Berekum Chelsea talented winger will earn a staggering $70,000 monthly salary if he completes his move to the Asian side.

Asante is currently on a $9,000 salary at TP Mazembe and sees the new offer to mouth-watering to reject.

Already the Congolese giants are planning for life without their talisman after setting their eyes on Ghanaian whizkid Latif Blessing.

Blessing who plays for local side Liberty Professionals has emerged strongly on the radar of the five-time African champions as the club prepare to find Asante's replacement.
