StarTimes, the official broadcaster of the Ghana Premier League, have paid a solidarity visit to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, following the fatal motor accident of the premier division side on their return journey from Accra after honouring a premier league match against Inter Allies.
The StarTimes team lead by Mr. Ernest Quaye Arday and Ms. Akofa Djankui met with the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kyei and his executives at the team's secretariat.
Mr. Arday recalled the warm relationship that exists between StarTimes and the Ghana Premiere League teams, therefore this tragedy equally touches StarTimes profoundly, hence the journey to commiserate with Kotoko upon hearing the unfortunate news.
On his part, Dr. Kyei said that the tragedy that has befallen Kotoko has shocked the entire football fraternity and the Kotoko family rendering them into grief.
Dr. Kyei thanked StarTimes for their donation and expression of sympathy, intimating Kotoko's deeply felt appreciation to StarTimes and indeed all Ghanaians especially the Minister Of Youth and Sports and the officials of the Ghana Football Association for their prompt response upon hearing the news.
