The French Football Federation has given the go ahead for Ghana to play her international friendly match against Ivory Coast on August 16 in France.

The game was initially scheduled for August 17, the day on which France will be playing, the Terenga Lions of Senegal.

Sources at the Ghana Football Association told JoyFM the game has been pushed a day forward to avoid the clash and also to afford the West African rivals ample media coverage.

The match serves as a warm-up for the two sides who are bracing up for the last two rounds of matches in the African qualifiers for the Germany 2006 World Cup.

The Black Stars and the Elephants drew in their last meeting at the African Cup of Nations in 2000 co-hosted by Ghana and Nigeria.
