The Black Stars failed to make it to the Finals of the 2017 African Cup of Nation after making a sixth straight appearance at the semi-final stage.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon having knocked out pre-tournament favourites, Senegal, on penalties in the quarter-final came in to the game strong and threatened to kill of the game in the first half but the Stars' kept them at bay.
Goals from Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui and Christian Bassogog sealed the win for the Cameroonians after a defensive error and a counter attack respectively killed off the game.
The Black Stars of Ghana were looking forward to avenging their loss to Egypt in the AFCON 2010 final but will have to wait it out.
Ghana last took the AFCON cup in 1982 and will now have to wait till 2019 for another chance at it.
