The Ghanaian side held their verve to lose by a controversial penalty kick in the first half.
The West Africans distinguished themselves admirably at the Stade Municipal in Sfax, Tunisia to hold the aces ahead of the return fixture this Sunday in Ghana.

"We were very disciplined and kept to the game plan.
"I think we'll have a chance in the second leg in Ghana.
"The team looked composed and displayed exemplary character and I am happy with our performance.
"There is another game to play and we look forward to it."
