Footy-ghana.com understands that Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila and Maritzburg United centre back Awal Mohammed could be included by Black Stars head coach Kwasi Appiah in Ghana’s 25-man provisional squad for the 2013 African Nations squad. According to our well laid sources, the two players have been included because of concerns over the fitness of Jonathan Mensah, John Boye and Isaac Vorsah who have all just recovered from various injuries.
Appiah will name his squad this afternoon at a press conference in Accra
Defenders for AFCON: John Paintsil, Samuel Inkoom, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Isaac Vorsah, Jerry Akaminko, Lee Addy, Harrison Afful, Rashid Sumaila and Awal Mohammed
