Super Falcons due tomorrow

Accra, Feb 10, GNA-The Super Falcons of Nigeria are scheduled to arrive in the country on Wednesday, February 11 ahead of their second leg Olympic qualifier against the Black Queens of Ghana

The Falcons, the women's national team of Nigeria will be using the Legon Ajax Park where the Black Queens have been using for their training and will also train at the Accra Sports Stadium on the eve of the encounter.

The Falcons are expected to be the guest of the Queens at the nation's Wembley, the Accra Sports Stadium to determine who will meet the winner of the South Africa and Angolan encounter to represent Africa at the next Olympic Games slated for Athens.

When the two teams clashed a fortnight ago in Ibadan, Nigeria, the Queens snatched a vital point from their counterparts when they took an early lead through Yaa Avor.

It took the Nigerians who until recently were the powerhouse of African women soccer, over 75 minutes to pull a vital equalizer to keep their dream on course.

Saturday's encounter will be the second time that both teams will be meeting in the New Year.

Togolese officials for Queen's game

Accra, Feb 10, GNA - Four Togolese officials led by referee Agboyi Conam Sefenya Adzowa have been appointed by the Federation of International Football Association, (FIFA) to handle the Olympic Qualifying game between Ghana's Black Queens and the Super Falcons of Nigeria billed for the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

A source at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) told the GNA Sports that the four who would arrive in the country by road on Friday. The other officials are Kpapendou Kossiwa, Dzodope Mana for line one and two while Amegee Aissata Amevo will be the forth referee. Kone Ardiouma from Cate d' Ivoire is expected to be the match commissioner for the encounter.
