Supporters Union Mysterious Dwarfs inaugurated

Cape Coast, Aug. 29, GNA - The Central Regional Coordinating Council at the weekend assured the management and Supporters Union of the Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs FC of its total support to enable the Club to achieve its goals.

Mrs Ama Benyiwa-Doe, the Regional Minister gave the assurance when she inaugurated the reconstituted 12-member executive body of the Supporters Union of the Club at the newly refurbished Cape Coast Town Hall.

She congratulated the elected executives and charged them to live up to expectations to ensure that supporters comport themselves during and after matches.

The Regional Minister commended Nana Aidoo, Chief Executive Officer of the Club and Nana Brew Butler, former GFA boss for their collective effort in ensuring the Club maintained its position in the Premier division.

Mrs Benyiwa-Doe was of the hope that Dwarfs will perform better over the years’ and bring the championship Cup to Cape Coast Municipality.

She underscored the importance of goal scoring in matches and encouraged the playing body to train harder than before to improve the Club’s position on the League in the next football season.

Mr Barton Oduro, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast appealed to the Supporters Union to raise funds to support the running of the Club.

Mr Mathew Doe, Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Football Association attributed the Club’s abysmal performance over the years to the un-sportsmanship of some of the supporters and therefore urged them to ensure good sportsmanship during the next League season.

Mr Amos Assifuah was elected Chairman of the Union with Mr James Edzii as vice. The post of Secretary went to Nana Thompson while Mr Solomon Ayensu was elected the Financial Secretary.

Ms Elizabeth Yeboah was elected treasurer with Mr Daniel Sackey elected the Public Relations Officer.

Messrs Ibrahim Bature Haruna Musah and Michael Amoah were elected Trustees of the Club.
