Agona Swedru, Sept 26, GNA - The Swedru Gamba All Blacks 'Magic O' Supporters Union have expressed concern about the inconsistency of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the handling of affairs of the Club. The supporters expressed their displeasure about the way and manner Mr George Afriyie, the CEO has tended to move from radio station to another declaring that he was no longer going to manage affairs of the Club.
Mr George Sarfo, President of the 'Magic O' Supporters Union who spoke to the GNA Sports at Agona Swedru on Thursday, said Mr Afriyie told the Golden Star FM, a Swedru-based radio station that he was no more going to handle the Club.
He said it is therefore necessary for the CEO to make his position clear to both the Patron of the Club, Nana Efua Ayipuah alias Nana Abena Egyinmah, Omankrado of Agona Swedru and the Supporters Union to enable them find a solution before the commencement the Premier League. Mr Sarfo said it was Nana Ayipuah who handed over the Club to the CEO and if he was no longer willing to continue with his position, it is better that he comes out to declare his stand on whether he is stepping down or not.
The President of the Supporters Union said that the CEO should be bold to tell the Patron and supporters that he was no more interested in handling affairs of the Club instead of making such utterances on the air waves.
He said that it would be proper for Mr Afriyie to declare his stand and intention early so that the Patron would look for sponsors and a new CEO to handle affairs of the Club. Mr Sarfo said the Supporters Union would hold an emergency meeting on Sunday to determine the future of the Club.
