Supporters of Olympics to hold rally on Saturday

Accra, Nov. 2, GNA - The current poor run of Accra Great Olympics in the on-going National Premier League has become a matter of much concern to its supporters and they have therefore embarking on a number of strategies to rectify the situation to avoid the calamity of being relegated.

A group calling itself "Concerned Supporters of Great Olympics" has therefore invited all supporters of the club to a rally on Saturday, November 2, at the Legion Hall, near the Baiden Powell Hall in Accra to deliberate on the woes of the club and the way forward.

The group according to their spokespersons, Mr Benjamin Adjei and Alhaji Collins Rauf told the GNA Sports that top on the agenda of the rally would be the current managerial crisis in the team which they claim has resulted in the unimpressive shows of the club in the Premier League.

According to the spokesmen the rally will also seek ways to address the problems confronting the club so as to put the club back on its track.

Messrs Adjei and Rauf advised supporters and well wishers of the club who would turn up for the rally to refrain from attacks on the playing body in order to give them peace of mind to perform on the field. The leaders however noted that the rally is open to only supporters of the club and members of the various factions in the club are advised to stay away from it to allow sanity to prevail.

Olympics are currently placed at the bottom of Zone "B" of the Premier League and stand the risk of being relegated should they continue with their poor performance. 02 Nov. 04
