Head coach of Medeama SC, Evans Adotey, says tactical indiscipline was the major reason why they lost 2-0 to Elmina Sharks on match-day 17 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) at the Ndoum Sports Stadium yesterday.
Elmina Sharks staged a late dramatic win maximum points against Mauve and Yellow, with strikes from Emmanuel Otoo and Farouk Mohammed.
Adotey who won the coach of the month of May highlighted the tactical indiscipline on the part of his players which made them throw away a point in the late stages of the
game.
“I saw my team relaxing in the late stages of the game, I prompted them to come out because we were under pressure but they disobeyed my instruction and I didn’t know what
they were after.
“Elmina Sharks were not better than us but staying away from defeat was my ultimate priority but I wanted to win the game,” Adotey said.
Medeama will host the resurgent Ashanti Gold in Week 18 of the GPL on Friday.
