Tepa, (Ash), March 7, GNA - Tepa Town Council beat their Suponso counterparts 2-0 on Tuesday to lift the championship trophy in the gala soccer competition organized by the Ahafo-Ano North District Assembly as part of activities marking Ghana's Independence anniversary. Suponso eliminated Anyinasuso and Manfo Town Councils on their way to the finals whilst Tepa also kicked out Akwasiase and Subriso Town Councils.
Luckman scored the first goal for Tepa in the 30th minute through a free-kick with Ernest Ntim making it 2-0 in the 75th minute. Mr Eric Agyemang Prempeh, the District Chief Executive for Ahafo-Ano District Assembly, who presented the trophy to the winning team, praised the participating teams for their spirit of sportsmanship and sense of discipline.
He advised them against taking alcoholic drinks so as not to affect their health status in the future.
