This year's Terry Fox Run in support of cancer research at the University of Ghana Medical School has been scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2000.
The six-km race is expected to attract hundreds of participants from Accra. Funds raised will be channeled into cancer research.
The annual race, which started some five years ago, has raised about C2000 million for research into diseases.
The money comes in the form of pledges from the runners and corporate donations. A total of sixty-four million cedis were last year raised by expatriates and Ghanaians to support research activities.
