ACCRA — Togo are expected in Ghana today to intensify preparations for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Sparrow Hawks will be in the capital, Accra for six days to strategise for the tournament in South Africa.
Head coach Didier Six has not had smooth preparations with some of his players yet to honour their call-ups.
But Togo’s squad has been boosted by Jonathan Ayité of Brest, Floyd Ayité, who plays for Reims, Mani Sapol of Algerian side CA Batna last Thursday.
Lorient midfielder Alaixys Romao also joined the team.
Togo will play another friendly against Niger on January 13 in a rematch after losing 3-1 last Sunday in Niamey.
The West Africans face a tough test at the tournament against Ivory Coast in their opener before engaging Algeria and Tunisia in Group D.
