Ghanaian legend, Tony Yeboah has lavished praises on Jordan Ayew after the latter broke his long-standing goal scoring record in the English Premier League.
Tony Yeboah netted 24 goals between 1995 and 1997 for Leeds United in the English top-flight league to set the record as a Ghanaian with the highest number of goals.
However, his 24-year goal scoring record for his former outfit was equaled by in-form Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew on Saturday after hitting the winner against Watford.
Ayew strike against Watford took his tally to 24, same as Tony Yeboah.
Speaking in an interview with the Kumasi based Angel FM, he commended his compatriot for his scintillating performance with Crystal Palace in the ongoing season.
“I think his performance has been superb this year. He has really done well and looking at the current Black Stars squad, he is the one making the headlines in Europe particularly the premiership”
“I’m very happy that Jordan is performing so well for his club” he said.
