Top 4 Awards Night Saturday

The Coca-Cola Top 4 awards night will be held at the Novotel Hotel in Accra next Friday, February 27.

That is when personalities who excelled in the just-ended month-long competition will be honoured.

So far, only the champions of the tournament, King Faisal, and the top scorer, Frank Osei of Kotoko are known. King Faisal dethroned city rivals, Kotoko, with just a goal difference after the two teams tied at the top with 11 points apiece.

For Frank Osei, he banged in four goals to become the candidate for the top award. Speaking to the Graphic yesterday, the Administrative Manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, disclosed that the awards committee members in Accra had already submitted their nominees for the various categories.

He said they were only waiting for those from Kumasi to enable them to come out with the eventual winners of the various awards.The other awards are the overall best player, best goalkeeper and best defender. Apart from his prize, the best player will also be sponsored by Coca-Cola for this year's Olympic Day Run in Egypt.
