Top FA member suspects Olele-Kwarasey rift

A top member of Ghana’s football association has exclusively told ALL SPORTS it is premature to take goalkeeper Richard Kingson out of the national team because his massive experience could be vital to nurturing younger ones for the post.

The FA member who wants to remain anonymous suspects the reason why Kingson nicknamed Olele has been excluded from the Black Stars team scheduled to play Sudan and Nigeria next week is because of fears there is growing discontent between the 33 year old and new star Adam Kwarasey.

According to the FA member, it is believed by top echelons within the Ghana football fraternity that “Olele is yet to come to terms with Kwarasey being chosen ahead of him which Plavi fears could undermine the performance of the Norway born goalkeeper since goalkeepers need the confidence of their reserves to perform.”

Plavi’s decision was made easy by the fact that even though he is reportedly training with former club Wigan in England, the 33 year old Kingson remains clubless and therefore lacks the regular playing time the Serbian disciplinarian insists national team players must gain at their clubs to earn call-ups.
