Alhaji Karim Grusah’s King Faisals this afternoon beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko by 2-1 in the on-going Coca Cola Top Four at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
The former Nokia Boys scored as early as the 4th minute through Abubakari Yahouza, but the defending Champions equalised through new-signing William Tierro. The "Insha Allah" boys who were determined to carry the day restored their lead through skipper Hamza Mohammed, through an expertly taken free-kick.
Alhaji Grusah who earlier on had remarked “going to South Africa without King Faisal is no going” would be delighted with the scoreline as it enhances his Club’s chances of placing respectably in the tournament.
Habib Mohammed of King Faisals was voted best player of the match
In the other match played today, Hearts Of Oak beat Liberty Professionals by 3-0 with goals from Lawrence Ajei and Alade Morgan(2 goals). Man of the Match was Dan Quaye, a.k.a Kofi Wayo of Hearts of Oak.
