Genoa expects to close the sale of midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng by close of Tuesday after a meeting with AC Milan.
The Ghanaian played on loan at AC Milan after Genoa acquired him from Portsmouth. Now the two clubs are locked in negotiations about a fee that will make the midfielder a fully owned Milan player.
Geona president Enrico Preziosi says he hopes to bring what he calls the ‘soap opera’ to an end on Tuesday after a meeting with Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani.
“We’ll meet with Adriano Galliani on Tuesday. If we don’t resolve it then, it means we have serious problems,” Preziosi said.
“If I have to give a percentage then I will say I am 90 per cent sure the matter will be closed on Tuesday. I will be glad for this soap opera to end as I don’t think it’s a major problem.”
Boateng admits he is not sure where he will play his club football next season but has insisted he wants that to be Milan.
