Two Vipers players attack match officials

Two players of Cape Coast Venomous Vipers, Dua Kwakye and Benjamin Kudotoh, on Sunday assaulted referee Victor Owusu and his assistants, after losing 0-2 to Ekotsi Proud United in their second division league match played at Ekotsi.

Kudotoh punched the referee on the mouth while Kwakye sprayed his assistants with ice water as soon as the referee had whistled for the end of the match.

United scored the first goal in the 56th minute through left half back Mohammed Faizal who powered a sizzling shot into the net.

Samuel Addo increased the tally to 2-0 in the 60th minute against the run of play after outpacing two Vipers' defenders on the right flank.
