Two win tickets for 2010 World Cup

Accra, May 9, GNA - A Ghanaian Uthman Shardow and a Chinese national, Alice Hu Yan Min, emerged lucky winners of a special World Cup promotion raffle organised by La Palm Casino for the 2010 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) in South Africa.

Shardow and Yan Min, as part of the package were presented with a cheque for GHC 14,000 each to witness the first three matches of the senior national team, the Black Stars at the soccer fiesta. In addition to the cash award, each winner will make the 14-day trip with a partner.

Abdulai Nuhu, Marketing Manager of the La Palm Casino Sports Club told He noted that it is also part of their plans to raise the needed awareness for the 2010 World Cup as well as to gather more support for the Black Stars at the competition.

In a similar draw held two weeks ago, another Chinese national, Wang Gui Xians and a Ghanaian Henry Adadevor emerged as lucky winners in the first phase of the raffle.

Nuhu added that each of the winners will be allowed to go on the trip with a partner and this will bring the total number of people to eight.
