Defending Champions of the VALCO SSS tournament, Aggrey Memorial made a smooth sail to the grand finale of this year's fiesta with an emphatic 3-0 victory surprise semi-finalists Apam secondary at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Joseph Adjetey and Yusif Amarboi scored in the 12th and 20th minutes while Jeremiah Athur netted the third in the 62nd minute. Aggrey took advantage of their first half dominance to score twice but Apam who came back strongly after recess, failed to utilise their chances and allowed the defending champions to score their third against the run of play.

Aggrey, started in a blistering manner and swung their passes beautifully whiles overlapping wing back Danid Bewaala's occasional inswingers confused the defence men of Apam. Apam, one of the two surprise semi-finalists coiled into their shells to combat the Aggrey attackers but it failed as the defending champions scored in a spate of eight minutes.

Substitute Derick Debrah revived the hopes of Apam but had no helper to contest the 50-50 balls in the penalty area of Aggrey. The closest Debrah came was in the 70th minute but agile goalkeeper Mahud Abdulai thwarted his effort.

Just as Apam decided to push more boys forward, their opponent capitalised on their weak rear guard as Bewaala surged forward to lob the ball for Jeremiah to connect. Aggrey play the winner of Pojos-Navasco match on Friday.
