Following the success story of Ghanaian youngster Alex Yamoah, Vision FC have congratulated Skillnet Sports Management for helping football talents grow through cultural education.

Alex Yamoah is 18-years-old. He participated in two previous scouting events conducted by SSM at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi. He finally got lucky in March 2013 after showcasing his talent in front of Italian scouts at Marcel Desailly’s Lizzy Sports Complex in Legon, Accra.

Yamoah signed a one-year contract with Getafe’s U-19 team this summer but has already begun training with the B team. Vision FC’s Sporting Director, Michael Osekre, has praised SSM for their efforts in creating football scouting events and thus offering opportunities for prodigies to sprout overseas.

“Congratulations on their soccer camps; they are educational,” he stated.

“It is a good initiative and an exciting opportunity for the youth to combine education with sports and we are hoping to be part of all the programmes organized by Skillnet.”

It has been three years now since Vision FC are in partnership with Skillnet. The Madina Estate Community club which nurtured Yamoah is particularly well structured at junior level with five categories – from U-10 to U-19 teams.

“My message for the youth is to work hard and learn as well,” Michael Osekre added before concluding:

“We are also happy for Alex Yamoah for securing a stay at Getafe CF in Spain to continue his development to become a top player.”
